Holidays To Sils - Graubünden

A mountain hideaway nestled between two lakes

Sils is a magical destination. Over the years its remarkable scenery and wide open spaces have inspired writers, artists and musicians - just a few examples include Nietzsche, Dürrenmatt, Chagall, Strauss and more recently David Bowie. You can still visit Nietzsche's house, with its fascinating exhibition. For such a small village, Sils has a huge impact on those lucky enough to visit. A short walk brings you to the edge of Lake Sils, a beautiful alpine lake where you can swim, paddleboard or take out a boat. A wander along the water's edge is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. In the other direction lies Lake Silvaplana, equally beautiful. Look up and surrounding the village and the lakes are the stunning Engadin mountains, soaring up over 3,000m.

Even the journey to the resort is a joy, with the train bringing you through the mountains and valleys of the renowned Albula landscape to St. Moritz. The hotel porter will meet you here and drive you to Sils. Should you want bigger shops and amenities during your village stay, the PostBus route links you back to St. Moritz in under half an hour. Hotel guests benefit from the FREE Engadin Inclusive Card during the summer months, allowing you to fully explore the local mountains.
