Lenk Holidays 2026

Holiday in a valley of outstanding natural beauty

Tucked away at the end of the Simmental Lenk is an alpine paradise where you will find glorious views, over 600km of peaceful walking trails and a taste of traditional Switzerland.

Nestled at the foot of the Wildstrubel massif, this is where the Simme River begins its journey from the spectacular 200m high Simmen Falls which you can walk to in around an hour. The region is blessed with pristine nature - from sparkling alpine lakes to peaceful pastures dotted with traditional wooden chalets. Grazing in the flower-filled meadows are the Simmental cows, famous for their creamy milk used in the region's dairy products. You can visit cheese dairies and alpine farms while on holiday and if you are here in October you may be lucky enough to see the alpine parade with the cows resplendent in their floral headdresses. Hotel guests benefit from the FREE Lenk- Simmental Card, allowing you to explore the mountains with a variety of discounts throughout the year.

This is a walker's paradise with a huge choice of scenic paths, from easy strolls and themed trails to more challenging terrain. A favourite is the walk (or part bus ride) to see the majestic Iffigall waterfall which plunges down over several cascades. The Betelberg cable car starts at the edge of the village and will take you up to some beautiful alpine scenery. Alight at Stoss for the panoramic walking trail or carry on to Leiterli at 1,946m. The Metschstand cable car goes all the way from outside the village to 2,100m with an outstanding view point and mountain restaurant.

A highly recommended full day day trip is to take the train to Zweisimmen and there join the GoldenPass Express to lively Montreux.
