The pretty village of Wilderswil is located around 4km from the centre of lively Interlaken and within a pleasant walk of Bönigen on the shores of Lake Brienz. Hotel guests benefit from the FREE Interlaken Visitor's Card, allowing you to hop on and off the local buses and trains.
Laying beneath the towering trio of mountains Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, which stand like stately sentinels over this traditional village, Wilderswil is ideally situated as the gateway to the Jungfrau region and its impressive range of stunning trips and walking opportunities. Especially close at hand is the sunny plateau of Schynige Platte with its botanical Alpine Garden. Its little railway dates from 1893 and you can explore even earlier local history at the ruins of 13th century Unspunnen Castle. The historical white church of Gsteig is worth a visit as is the working watermill dating from 1513.
