Day 1 - Arrive and explore the charming lakeside resort of Weggis

Fly from the UK to Zurich in under 2 hours with connecting rail and boat travel across to your first resort of Weggis. Welcome to your hotel for your 4 night stay and enjoy exploring the lakeside setting.

Day 2-4 - Enjoy tranquil Weggis and the mountains of Central Switzerland

The delightful lakeside resort of Weggis is a peaceful village nestling below Mount Rigi, known as ‘Queen of the Mountains’. Your Swiss Travel Pass is a real bonus as it includes free travel by cable car or cog railway to the scenic Rigi peak for beautiful views and a good choice of walking trails. It also includes unlimited travel on the regular lake boats so that you can explore the region: why not cruise across to pretty Beckenried for lunch in a waterside restaurant or visit Lucerne's beautiful Old Town with all its history. Travel to more mountains is also covered including the dramatic Stoos funicular and the open top cable car ride to the Stanserhorn. Other cog railways and cable cars such as Mount Pilatus are at 50% reduction.

Day 5 - Travel to the Jungfrau region of Wengen, including the scenic Luzern-Interlaken Express

The day starts with a relaxing boat journey to Lucerne, where you will connect with the panoramic coaches of the Luzern-Interlaken Express. This delightful route offers wonderful views as you travel on the two hour journey over the dramatic Brünig Pass to Interlaken. The buffet car is well stocked with refreshments for your trip. From Interlaken, you will board the local train via Lauterbrunnen and on to Wengen for your 3 night stay.

Day 6-7 - Discover Wengen and the stunning Jungfrau mountains

Wengen is an idyllic car free mountain village perched on a sun soaked terrace with spectacular views to the high Alps and easy access into the high mountains. Enjoy a stroll around the village, maybe stopping for coffee and cake in a pavement café. Your Swiss Travel Pass gives you free rail travel back to Interlaken for cruises on its two lovely lakes, as well as rail travel to explore other alpine villages such as Grindelwald and Mürren. Mountain transport, for which your pass gives a 50% discount, takes you directly into the Alps at Männlichen or Kleine Scheidegg – both offer stunning scenery and spectacular walks in the fresh air. Travel up to the famous  Jungfraujoch has a 25% reduction.

Day 8 - Last day in the alpine air

After a last look around the village, take the train back to Zurich airport for your flight to the UK.
