Day 1 - Arrive and explore elegant Montreux

Fly from your local airport to Geneva in under 2 hours with connecting rail travel to Montreux. Welcome to your hotel for your 2 night stay and enjoy exploring the famous lakeside promenade.

Day 2 - Visit the snowy mountains for stunning views and time to enjoy Montreux

On the cog railway to Les Rochers-De-Naye at 2,045m, your 55 minute journey reveals a spectacular vista onto the snowy wonderland and a series of unique views of both the French and Swiss Alps overlooking the vast Lake Geneva. Time for refreshments amongst the skiers before heading back down to Montreux then maybe enjoy a visit to romantic Chillon Castle.

Day 3 - A day to savour with your journey on the GoldenPass Express

Your GoldenPass Express journey starts off with a stunning ascent as you leave Montreux and head for the winter wonderland over the high meadows covered in pure snow and dramatic mountain views. Passing through the chic village of Gstaad you then reach Zweisimmen where the train switches track for the journey down the snowy Simmen valley to Spiez and the final run alongside Lake Thun to Interlaken for your 3 night stay.

Day 4 - Interlaken and a day to visit the James Bond famous mountaintop Piz Gloria on the summit of the Schilthorn

Interlaken is a great base to visit more highlights - and the Schilthorn is a top destination. Your visit starts by train to Lauterbrunnen and a dramatic ascent by the world’s steepest cableway to the small village of Mürren. Another cable car brings you to the Schilthorn summit and the Piz Gloria revolving restaurant and viewing platform at 2,970m. There are many special features about the making of the James Bond film ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’ which was filmed here. Return is via cable cars and train to Interlaken.

Day 5 - Return day trip on the Luzern-Interlaken Express to enjoy the beauty of Lake Lucerne and the Old Town

This relaxing journey on the Luzern-Interlaken Express journey is just 2 hours with fabulous views as you travel over the snowy Brünig Pass to Lucerne. Depending on how early you start you may have the chance to take a short cruise on Lake Lucerne or spend your time soaking up the atmosphere of Lucerne's wonderful Old Town and the famous Chapel Bridge. You still have a return on the Luzern-Interlaken Express to look forward to.

Day 6 - Last day and farewell to the mountains

Take in the view to the mighty Jungfrau or shop for souvenirs before your journey back to Geneva airport for your return to the UK.
