                                The Family Safari
                                This is a favourite trip for all ages, taking in some lovely walks. Start in Treib and take the funicular up to Seelisberg. From here you can walk to Emmetten and take the cable car to Stockhütte. Enjoy a mountain walk to Klewenalp, then the steep cable car down to Beckenried, where the lake cruisers will transport you home.
                            
                                Lake Seeli
                                An idyllic mountain lake close to Seelisberg. The water can reach temperatures of up to 24°C in summer, perfect for swimming in the beach area as well as boating. 
                            
                                Mountain cheese factory
                                The Aschwanden cheese factory is located in Seelisberg, just a short walk from the funicular station. From May-October (9-10.30am), you can watch the traditional production of Seelisberger cheese, made with milk from 15 local farms.
                            
                                Swiss Trail
                                Seelisberg is on the path of the famous Swiss Trail. Walkers arrive in Treib then hike or ride up to Seelisberg and on to Bauen, taking in stunning views of the historic Rütli meadow and the lake as they go. 
                            
                        
                        Directions
                        This is a delightful journey - take a scenic cruise along the lake from Lucerne, Weggis or Brunnen to the pier at Treib. The boats connect with the historic funicular which will take you up to Selisberg. An alternative route is to take the train to Stans, and from there the bus to Seelisberg.
