'Enchanting Rhine' river cruise

Sail from Basel to Amsterdam with AmaWaterways

After a splendid holiday in Switzerland - with a fully flexible choice of resorts and duration - you'll make your way to Basel. The river cruise ships depart from here on their journey northwards into France, Germany and Holland. Take a front-row seat on an enchanting journey that takes you along the Rhine and through its UNESCO World Heritage landscape with its 40 castles strung like pearls on the river banks. Charming towns such as Heidelberg have inspired poetry and music over the centuries. Timeless traditions remain intact, from the making of Kölsch, Cologne’s legendary brew to the delicious Rüdesheimer Coffee. Towards the end of your holiday, Amsterdam’s Golden Age buildings meld seamlessly with its lively cafés and famous museums.

Several ships cruise the Rhine on this itinerary: AmaDante, AmaKristina, AmaMora, AmaPrima, AmaSerena, AmaStella, AmaViola. Please check with us with regard to dates if you have a particular preference.

NB November sailings have a slightly modified itinerary with no stop at Lahnstein and extra time in Cologne.
