Snow Bus
Explore the perpetual ice of the glacier on the Snow Bus, which runs daily in the summer subject to the weather conditions.
Ice Express chairlift
Ride on the Ice Express chairlift from Scex Rouge down onto the ice - an experience not to be missed.
Alpine rollercoaster
The highest toboggan run in the world starts beside the Scex Rouge mountain station. The 1km long route has a 520° loop, 10 curves, 6 waves and 3 jumps with speeds of up to 40km per hour. Tobogganers can experience zero gravity, breathe in the clean mountain air and enjoy one-of-a-kind views. May-October, subject to weather conditions.
Peak Walk by Tissot
The first suspension bridge spanning 107 metres between two mountain peaks is available to enjoy year round (depending on weather conditions). Beautiful views and pure exhiliration are yours to enjoy if you are brave enough to walk across.
The panorama viewpoint
The panorama viewpoint is just a few minutes' walk from Restaurant Botta. Having reached an altitude of 3,000m, there is an indescribable 360º view of the most beautiful alpine peaks - from the Eiger to the Mönch, Jungfrau and the Matterhorn - and twenty-four other 4,000m+ mountains.
Husky rides
A romantic dog sled ride in the unique mountain landscape of Glacier 3000 - huskies pull visitors along through the beautiful glacier landscape.
Fun Park
This is located in the lower part of the Ice Express chairlift. In the Fun Park, non-skiers, toboggan fans and families can have fun in the snow all year round for free.
Dome hike
From the Scex Rouge mountain station you follow a nice wide trail surrounded by rocks and boulders up to the Dome at an altitude of 3,016m. Once you get to the top, you will see the 'Steinmannli' (small stone man) from where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the glacier, the low lying valleys and the Diablerets summit.
Glacier walk
A leisurely walk on the marked glacier trail from Scex Rouge to Quille du Diable with a fabulous panorama. Those who prefer a more leisurely pace can take the Ice Express chairlift down to the glacier and start walking from there. After an hour, you will reach the Restaurant Refuge l'Espace at the edge of the glacier, with spectacular views. Walk back to the Scex Rouge or catch the Snow Bus.
Refreshments
The Restaurant Botta at the summit stattion offers amazing views to accompany your meal.
You can also walk to to the Refuge lâ??Espace (see above) - worth the effort to eat in the unspoilt heart of the mountains.
Directions
Glacier 3000 is easily accessible by train from the Lake Geneva resorts: there are trains from Lausanne and Montreux to Les Diablerets via Aigle. If you are staying in Villars, there is a PostBus to take you to Aigle.
You can also reach the Glacier 3000 from Interlaken via Spiez and Gstaad.
