Lausanne / Lake Geneva
Hotel Château d'Ouchy
Nestled on the shores of Lake Geneva in the Ouchy district, a former small fishing and trading area, the château is an important landmark on the Lausanne shoreline with a history dating back to the 12th century. It still retains the Dungeon Tower which was part of its original fortification and is now a historical monument.
The hotel offers a high standard of accommodation in a neo-Gothic style with stunning views of the lake and the Alps beyond. The restaurant is a particular feature of the Château and specialises in Mediterranean cuisine. It has been awarded 13 points in the prestigious Gault & Millau fine dining guide. The bar/lounge area with its period fireplace is an ideal spot in which to relax and enjoy a drink or snacks. During the summer evenings tapas dishes are available.
In the hotel grounds there is an outdoor swimming pool with a sauna and hammam area. The hotel has great charm and offers a high level of service in its own haven of peace. Bed and breakfast only.
