Lugano / Ticino
16 Feb - 14 Dec
The traditional Hotel Federale has been in the Galliker family for three generations and offers all modern comforts. It enjoys an ideal position for exploring Lugano - close to the historical centre and within a comfortable but steep walk of the lake - while the railway station is nearby for excursions throughout the Ticino region.
The restaurant San Lorenzo, with its attractive terrace, offers an excellent four course menu for half board guests as well as à la carte choices; breakfast on Sundays includes freshly baked ‘Sunday bread’ known as Treccia. The hotel bar and lounge still have traces from the original building dating back to 1923 and offer guests the chance to relax and enjoy the local Merlot.
Other facilities include a wellness area with sauna and Jacuzzi. We have been recommending the Federale to guests for many years thanks to its comfort, cuisine and great location
