You start with 4 nights in the lakeside town of Lucerne where you are close to the famous mountains of Pilatus and Rigi and an old town to enjoy both for it's sights and excellent shopping. During your stay we have included a visit on the world's steepest cog railway to the top of Mount Pilatus, where you will enjoy breathtaking views. You should allow time for a walk to the summit and a relaxing lunch overlooking Lucerne.

On day five it's time to head south on your journey on the Wilhelm Tell Express, which starts with a relaxing cruise watching the ever changing scenery as you meander across the lake down to Flüelen where you board the train to Locarno. Lunch (dish of the day) is on board the lake steamer.

You stay 3 nights in the resort of Locarno on the lake of Maggiore and we have included an unforgettable day on the 'Lago Maggiore Express', which starts with a lovely journey by rail on the Centovalli Line to Domodossola in Italy and continues to Stresa where you join the lake boat back to Locarno.
