This holiday follows the complete route of the GoldenPass Line starting with 3 nights in the historic town of Lucerne which has so much to offer, with its local mountains Rigi and Pilatus, an old town with good shopping and a beautiful lake which you can cruise the entire length to Flüelen.
On day 4 take the first part of the GoldenPass Line over the Brünig Pass to Interlaken, the town between the lakes of Brienz and Thun and gateway to the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains.
3 nights in Interlaken from which to explore the outstanding scenic beauty of the region.
Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe is celebrating its centenary in 2012 and we have included a visit to this amazing mountain station which offers the visitor a vast array of activities which include walking on the Aletsch Glacier, visiting the Ice Palace, husky rides and above all panoramic views of what looks like the top of the world.
The next leg on the GoldenPass Line is via Zweisimmen to Montreux, in many people's opinion the most scenic part of the journey.
Montreux, known as the Swiss Riviera, is the final stop for 3 nights - the promenade runs along the lakeside as far as the famous 800 year old Chateau de Chillon, which is well worth a visit. Included in the holiday is a visit by cog railway to Les Rochers-de-Naye with spectacular views of Lake Geneva and the surrounding Alps. In addition to the panoramic restaurant there is also a Marmot centre and Alpine garden.
