Lucerne is a great place to walk round - visit the preserved city walls protecting the old town, along the River Reuss with the famous Chapel Bridge and stroll along the lakeside. Lucerne is an excellent destination with a varied night life and with enough things to do that will keep you interested every day of your holiday. A must is a visit to both the local mountains of Pilatus via the world’s steepest cog railway and Rigi with its views as far as the Black forest.
