Originally a medieval castle built in the 13th century, the Castello Seeschloss is now a excellent 4 star hotel in a prime position on the car free lakeside in Ascona. This unique property offers a high standard of individual accommodation in the main building, the Villa Rosa, Marionette, or in the medieval tower which all reflect the historic ambiance of the hotel.
Your buffet breakfast is served in the dining room and the half board option is an excellent three course dinner with choice of main course and you will also find their à la carte restaurant ‘de Ghiriglioni’ which offers regional specialities.
There is also the Palm terrace overlooking the lakeside and the cellar bar. A real feature is the pavilion and Castle Gardens by the lake, as soon as it is possible to eat in the open this makes an ideal spot right by the lakeside to relax over lunch or enjoy an à la carte dinner.
Facilities include a spacious outdoor pool (heated May-Sep) and attractive garden in which to relax. The Ris family has run this charming hotel impeccably since 1952 and today Werner Ris maintains the same high standards of comfort and service.
