On this independent hiking tour (4 or 7 nights), against the magical setting of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, you hike on the legendary Bärentrek (Bear Trail) over the Kleine and Grosse Scheidegg. You can choose to walk whatever stretches you like as the cable cars mean you can take short cuts which reduces your hiking. time Your luggage is transported for you from one hotel to another which enables you to admire the wonders of nature unencumbered.
In the past, the trail was only passable for bears and wolves - today it is one of the most popular in Switzerland for everyone.

Day 1 (Day 1)

This fine hotel offers every comfort in the traditional style of an Alpine hotel. Wengen is a car-free village.

Day 2
Day to explore the Jungfrau Region
|
|
|
Spend a day in the Jungfrau Region, visit Schilthorn and the Piz Gloria revolving restaurant or spend an incredible day at the Jungfraujoch. It's a time to enjoy the stunning scenery with views of the high Alps. Wengen is such an attractive village you may well decide to spend the day just relaxing.

Day 3 (Day 2)
Hike over the Kleine Scheidegg to Grindelwald
|
|
|
Hike from Wengen over the Kleine Scheidegg into the glacier village of Grindelwald where you will have a fantastic panorama of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfraujoch. The hiking time depends on the route you choose. The simple route using the mountain transportation takes around 1½ hours and the more dfficult route is around 5 hours.

Days 4 and 5 (Day 3)
Grindelwald and the surrounding area
|
|
|
Make the most of your stay in Grindelwald by enjoying one of the many activities in the area and maybe visit Interlaken and take a leisurely trip on the lakes. Alternatively you can relax in the Wellness centre in the hotel offering well-being for body and soul.

Day 6 (Day 4)
Hike through the unspolit Schwarzwaldalp
|
|
|
The hike from Grindelwald to Meiringen takes you over the Grosse Scheidegg. The unspoilt Schwarzwaldalp and the Rosenlaui glacier valley are unique natural wonders. Again depending on which route you choose it will take either 1 hour on the simple route or 6 hours when you take the more difficult option.

Day 7
A day around Meiringen in the Haslital region
|
|
|
A whole day in the Haslital region where you can visit the fascinating Ballenberg open-air museum, the amazing Aare Gorge or enjoy the mysteries of Sherlock Holmes who has close association with Meiringen - there's no limit to the adventures to be had!
