Klein Matterhorn

 Klein Matterhorn is the highest sightseeing point in Europe, accessible by cableway. A gondola with eight seats takes you up to the first middle station at Furi. A cable car continues to the Trockener Steg station, where you'll find a lovely restaurant. The highest cableway in Europe transports you up to the Klein Matterhorn to a world of mountains, glaciers and permanent snow. An elevator, which is built into the mountain, transports you to the highest sightseeing platform in Europe. A breathtaking 360° panoramic view of numerous giants in the Alps, all over 4000m high can be admired from the platform on top of Klein Matterhorn. Fifteen meters below the surface of the glacier, you will discover the highest Glacier Palace in the world.

Gornergrat

(3,135m/10,272ft) Full-day

Travel on the Gornergrat cog railway and enjoy the beautiful views of Zermatt as it climbs 45 minutes to the top. Throughout the journey you will see the view constantly change as new sights are opened up during the ascent - you might even spot some mountain wildlife. Once you reach Gornegrat you will be rewarded with a breathtaking panorama of the high Alps and wonderful ‘tongues’ of glacier ice. The hotel Kulm offers a choice of a traditional stübli or a self service restaurant. Relax and enjoy the pure mountain air.

Rothorn

Take the underground funicular to Sunnegga to the marmot observation area where the life of these rodents can be experienced at close quarters. A gondola for four people takes you onward to Blauherd before the panoramic cable car takes you up to Rothorn and its mountain restaurant and beautiful terrace. At Rothorn you'll discover the Matterhorn’s most photogenic side and the unforgettable view of 38 summits higher than 4'000 m / 13'000 ft surrounding Zermatt.

Schwarzsee

(2,583m/8,472ft) Full-day

Take the cable car to Schwarzee at the foot of the
Matterhorn, where you get the closest view of this
famous mountain. Schwarzsee is an idyllic mountain lake with a small chapel. The clear lake, only a few paces away from the cableway station, reflects the picturesque mountain scenery.
