Guided E Cycling holiday from Lake Constance to Lake Zurich
6 day tour
Appenzell - A true cultural experience
Once a giant strode across the land carrying a huge sack. A rocky peak on the Säntis tore a hole in the sack. Thousands of houses pured out and scattered across the land. So says the legend of how the typical dispersed settlements of Appenzell came about. In a gentle hilly landscape one bump nudges the next in a wavelike formation, usually crowned by farmsteads which are lovingly termed 'Häämet' by the people of Appenzell. It is in this hilly landscape that the advantages of the flyer electric bike come to the fore. We ride along selected routes from Lake Constance through the countryside of Appenzell to the St.Gallen corner of Lake Zurich.

The Fünfeck palace in Trogen is the stubborn project of a fabrication plant in the countryside of Appenzell. Built between 1805 and 1809 on the old village and country road, the right of way, located inside the building, is accessed from the north east side through a vast gate in the centre of the main facade.
After viewing the palace, we ride to Appenzell, our destination today. Once here we checj into a beautiful Appenzell building at the centre of the village, the richly tradiditonal Hotel Löwen. After being shown to our rooms we take a guided walk through the village.
