What a memorable day this makes, crossing the Alps over the highest railway pass, north to south, with stunning views on the climb past glaciers to the Bernina Pass at over 2,200m, desending south over the Italian border to Tirano. Time to enjoy lunch in Tirano before your return journey.

The journey takes in the world famous Albula climb from Filisur to Bever with the Scuol line to Susch. You    can break your journey as required in Davos,
St. Moritz,   Pontresina and Klosters.

Chur, the capital of Graubünden is an interesting historic old town well worth a visit. With narrow streets, well preserved old houses, made even more picturesque by an abundance of flowers, Chur is a delightful town to stroll around with plenty of interesting shops, cafés and restaurants waiting to tempt you. The journey itself is a pleasure.

From Davos (1 1/2 hour each way) 28 Sfrs,
