The charming town of Brig is our base for 2 nights. With its unique position at the junction of the Simplon road, where the Rhone valley crosses from Lake Geneva up to the Furka pass, Brig offers a wide choice of places to visit including the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Aletsch Gletscher.

On the third day we board the panoramic carriages of the Glacier Express to Chur, with lunch included, while the train meanders up the Rhone Valley towards the Oberalp Pass before descending through deep gorges to Chur.

We stay in the attractive old town of Chur for 2 nights' which enables you to explore Switzerland's oldest town and as the capital of the canton of Graubünden it has developed as a hub for the most amazing rail journeys into the high Alps.
