Only a few minutes by modern funicular from Mürren is the fabulous Allmendhubel at 1,907m above sea level. The perfect place to relax and enjoy splendid views of the snow-capped Alpine peaks on the opposite side of the valley. Allmendhubel is also an ideal starting point for many of the most beautiful hikes in the region.
Directions: The main resorts from which you can make your way to the Allmendhubel are from Interlaken, Grindelwald, Wengen, Lauterbrunnen, Wilderswil, Lake Thun or Brienz and Mürren. From Lauterbrunnen the cable car takes you to Grütschalp where you board a train to Mürren. From Mürren, there is a short walk through the village where you take another funicular to Allmendhubel. If you are arriving by car, you will need to park in the multi-storey in Lauterbrunnen as Mürren is traffic free.

Panoramic Restaurant: Treat yourself to large selection of delicious Swiss specialities served in the panorama restaurant. It seats 76 inside and over 100 outside on the beautiful sun terrace with spectacular views over the mountains and the surrounding area. It's the perfect place to relax.
Children's Paradise: The large outdoor playground including a fabulous slide will keep youngsters very happy and entertained. There is even a children's adventure hiking trail (which is shown on the map on the link below) which has many toys made of natural materials and ''natural'' play areas en route. Children can enjoy an afternoon of gaming, excitement, fun and fresh air. This trail is open from May until October (weather permitting).

Hiking trails: There are numerous hikes in front of the most beautiful scenery in the world. There is a hiking trail which leads up to the Allmendhubel. The Allmendhubel is also a great place to stop after your hike down from the Schilthorn. Overall the Mürren-Schilthorn area is a magnificent hiking region. The rich variety of alpine flora, combined with breathtaking views of the snow-covered Bernese Alps, dominated by the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, guarantee you an absolutely unforgettable outing. 1: Mürren-Blumental-Allmendhubel (approx. 1hr 30 min)
Above the Schilthorn cable car station is Mürren, go over the Mürrenbach bridge, right over the children's playground to Suppenalp restaurant and continue via Blumental to Allmendhubel.
2: Allmendhubel-Blumental-Schiltalp-Spielbodenalp-Mürren (approx. 2hrs 30 mins)
The well marked ''North face trail'' is approximately a 2 hour hike from the Allmendhubel back to Mürren which presents no problems for walkers with appropriate footwear. Its outstanding feature is the breathtaking view of the impressive north face and of the Bernese Alps. Along the trail 12 information panels provide details of the history of the mountains.
3: Allmendhubel-Maulerhubel-Dorenhubel-Pletschenalp-Marchegg-Sousläger-Spryssenwald-Grütschalp
(approx. 2hr 30 mins)
From Allmendhubel go up to Höhlücke, walk down on the right towards Maulerhubel, past the Dorenhubel to Pletschenalp, then continue on the left via Marchegg. This is a picturesque viewpoint to Sousläger. Return via Spryssenwald to Grütschalp station.
4: Mountain view trail - Allmendhubel - Dorenhubel - Gütschalp (approx. 1hr 30 mins)
The same itinerary as hike number 3 as far as Pletschenalp. Splendid views of the Alps. Go down towards the Rinderhütte and return via the meadows and forest to Grütschalp station.
5: Flower trail - Mürren BLM - Mittelberg-Chänelegg-Höhlücke-Allmendhubel (approx. 1hr 15 min)
From Mürren BLM station, go past the Aegertenbach, take the easy uphill path on the right through the forest to Mittelberg, go to the left above Chänelegg - splendid view of the valley, Mürren and the Alps - until you reach the lower station of Maulerhubel skilift. Keep going on the right over Höhlücke to Allmendhubel.

Kneipp path: After a bracing hike, soothe and refresh your feet by walking barefoot through the Kneipp path. The refreshing walk benefits your feet especially after a long and strenuous hike.The Kneipp station is open during the Summer months and is free of charge.
