Kambly has over a 100 year tradition of creating biscuits, so the Kambly Experience makes for a very interesting day trip from Lucerne. Treat yourself to a very naughty but nice day out.
Kambly History: Discover the history in a recreation of Oscar R. Kambly's first bakery. English commentary.
Confectionary Demonstration: The Maîtres Confiseurs produce daily handmade quality confectionery and chocolate products before your eyes.
Make Your Own Biscuits: Pre-book a 'Make your own Biscuit' session for children over 6 years on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons (5 Sfrs per child).
Factory Shop: In the factory shop you can take your pick of over 100 varieties of biscuits. You will also find a great selection of exclusive and beautifully presented Kambly specialities which make wonderful gifts.
Refreshments: There is a coffee shop if you would like to relax with a hot drink.
Trains leave hourly from Lucerne to Trubschachen, with a journey time of around 50 minutes. The journey takes you through the UNESCO recognised Biosphere of Entlebuch and the lush Emmental Valley.
The Kambly Experience is just a short walk from Trubschachen station. On Tuesdays-Sundays, you can travel on the special Kambly Train from Lucerne at 10.57 and 14.57. This train has Kambly livery and features Kambly stories and information in the carriages.
The Kambly Experience is open 08.30-18.30 Monday-Friday and 08.30-17.00 Saturday-Sunday and bank holidays.
