With your Swiss Travel Pass, Interlaken is the perfect spot from which to enjoy FREE travel around the classic Swiss scenery of the Bernese Oberland. The lakes of Brienz and Thun both have wonderful cruises to idyllic lakeside villages. Enjoy the dramatic ascent by cable car to Schilthorn-Piz Gloria and spectacular 360 degree views from the famous restaurant and Harder Kulm with its stunning views over Interlaken. Other trips further afield: Bern, Lucerne or Zermatt! This scenic journey has many highlights. The GoldenPass Line train runs alongside Lake Thun before heading into the mountains and the lush pastures of the Simmen Valley. Montreux is one of the oldest resorts in Switzerland, with cafés and shops and a wonderful promenade which you can follow round the bay to the romantic Chillon Castle. Your Swiss Travel Pass gives you FREE travel on the lake boats and mainline trains, so you can plan a visit to historic Geneva, Lausanne and the vineyards at Lavaux. The mountain railway to Les Rochers-de-Naye, where you get a 50% reduction, is highly recommended for its spectacular views of the Eiger and Mont Blanc.
