Holidays in Villars - Lake Geneva (Vaud)

Find true peace and quiet in the mountains

Set in the mountains between the eastern end of Lake Geneva and the high Alps above the Rhone Valley, Villars is a charming village. It lies on a sunny plateau with spectacular views and great care has been taken to preserve the look provided by wooden chalet-style buildings. Here you have the chance to relax in a pure natural environment, to enjoy leisurely lunches in mountain restaurants and take re-energising walks amongst the ever-changing colours of lofty alpine pastures. Les Bains de Villars is the resort's new swimming and wellness centre, where you can relax, swim with views of the mountains and enjoy the sauna and steam rooms. There is also a miniature steam railway park and at nearby Aigle, you will find a fairytale castle and vineyard.

Villars' cogwheel railway makes its way up past the alpine golf course to Bretaye where you can visit three mountain lakes and enjoy a range of spectacular walks, or travel to Bex with its fascinating working saltmine. Hotel guests benefit from the FREE Villars Access Card during the summer months, allowing you to explore the nearby mountains.
